Color Note 07

It is already past the middle of December, and before we know it, there are less than two weeks left in 2025.

A little while ago, I visited a local “marche” held in my neighborhood.
There, someone I know was offering ear acupressure and head massage treatments, and I decided to give it a try for the first time in a while.

It was my first experience with ear acupressure, and combined with the head massage, it was a very relaxing and pleasant time.
I usually spend a lot of time working on the computer, so I often carry tension in my neck and shoulders. After the treatment, I felt that area gently loosen up.

At the same time, I noticed many business cards around the venue.
I already had a name card, but I realized I didn’t have a simple one that included my website information—something easy to hand out. So I decided to make one.

And then…
I found myself wanting something else.

Something to hold my business cards.

So I made this.
I was inspired by the colorful “Kyubirop” candies I used to enjoy as a child.

The glass used in this piece comes from parts that were not used during previous projects—small leftover pieces or offcuts that still had beautiful shapes.
I carefully kept them instead of throwing them away, and reused some of them for this work.

Even small scraps, when given form, seem to come back to life as stained glass.
That feeling is something I find truly special.

Someday, if I have the opportunity to take part in a marche, I would love to display these pieces together.
With that in mind, I hope to challenge myself with even more detailed work next time.

If this piece speaks to you or if you feel you would like something made, please feel free to contact me.
